Guns for Sale Near Me: What Is in the Cases and on the Walls
The showroom is built around glass handgun cases and long gun walls. Here is what you will find, group by group.
- Handguns. Pistols fill the glass cases along the showroom walls. The cases carry brand signs for SIG Sauer, Ruger, Glock, Canik, Springfield Armory, Kel-Tec and Smith & Wesson. The signs are not a list of the models on the shelf today, so call to ask about a particular one.
- Rifles. The rifle walls hold AR-style rifles, bolt-action rifles and lever-action rifles, some with scopes or red dots already mounted.
- Shotguns. A wall of shotguns with wood, camo and black stocks.
- Suppressors. We are a Silencer Shop Elite dealer, and suppressors sit in their own glass case. They carry extra paperwork, so they have their own page: buying a suppressor in Georgia.
- Preowned firearms. Cases and walls marked preowned sit next to the new guns. If you are shopping for one, read how to inspect a used gun first.
- Everything else. Optics, red dot sights, holsters, magazines and ammo.
Come in, ask questions and handle the guns. That is how we like a purchase to start. Picking up a gun tells you more than any photo about how it fits your hand.
How to Check the Shelf Before You Drive
The guns on the shelf change as people buy them. There are two good ways to check.
- Online store. Browse by category in the next section. The store lists what is available and holds prices and checkout.
- Call the counter. Name the kind of gun, the size or caliber, and anything you must have, such as a red dot cut or a certain finish. The counter can tell you what is on the shelf right now.
We are open Tuesday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. We are closed Sunday and Monday. We take credit cards, debit cards, cash and phone tap.
If the gun you want is not there, ask. We order through our distributors, so if it is being made we can usually get it. Special orders are paid in full when you place them, and you pick up in the shop. See how special orders work.
Make the visit count. A few small things save time at the counter:
- Bring a valid government photo ID with your current address.
- Know what the gun is for and how much you want to spend.
- Hold more than one. Size and grip matter, and what looks right in a photo may not feel right in your hand.
- Ask to see a gun with the action open, so you can see it is unloaded. The NSSF says to open the action and check the chamber, receiver and magazine every time you pick up a gun.

A gun listed in the store goes through the same steps as one from the case. Those steps are below, and the counter can walk you through them.
Not Sure Which Kind of Gun to Look At?
Start with the job, not the model. Ask yourself what the gun is for: learning to shoot, a range gun, a first rifle, or something for the home. Then ask who else lives there, because that decides how you store it. The National Shooting Sports Foundation says to keep guns and ammunition stored separately and secured, away from children and unauthorized adults, and a safe plan is part of buying a gun.
A few of our posts help you narrow it down before you visit:
- Handgun sizes explained, for compact vs subcompact.
- Striker fired vs hammer fired.
- Revolver vs semi auto.
- Picking a first rifle.
- Home defense shotgun basics.
If this is your very first gun, read buying your first gun in Georgia too. Then bring your questions. We know our customers by name, and no question is too basic.
What Buying a Gun From a Licensed Dealer Involves
These are the federal steps for a sale by a licensed dealer, as of November 2026. This is general information, not legal advice.
- Age. A dealer may not sell a handgun to someone it knows or has reason to believe is under 21. For a rifle or shotgun, the line is 18. The rule is in 18 U.S.C. 922(b)(1).
- ID and paperwork. The buyer fills out ATF Form 4473 at the shop. The rules for it are in 27 CFR 478.124. Bring a valid government photo ID with your current address, which is the same thing we ask for on a transfer.
- Background check. A dealer sale goes through the national background check system, called NICS. Federal law requires it on a dealer sale (18 U.S.C. 922(t)).
- If the check is delayed. Sometimes a check does not come back right away. Our post on buying your first gun in Georgia explains what a delay means.
- Registration. Georgia has no gun registration for ordinary firearms, and state law bars local governments from regulating it. Only NFA items, such as suppressors, are registered with ATF, as ATF explains.
Other Ways to Get the Gun You Want
- Layaway. Put at least 20% down and pay it off within 30 days. If you need something a little different, ask. See our layaway page.
- Transfers. If you find a gun online, have it shipped to us. We log it in the day it arrives, any day we are open, and call you right away. A transfer is $40 flat per firearm. See FFL transfers.
- Trade-ins. Trade value goes on your store account and works on anything in the store. See how selling to us works.
What we do not do. We are a retail shop. We do not have a shooting range, gun rentals or classes. We keep this short on purpose, because we would rather talk about what we do.
Stop by and handle the guns. The easiest way to find the gun that fits is to come in, ask questions and hold a few. Our shop is at 211 Atlanta Rd in Cumming. You can start from our homepage, see all our services, or write to us on the contact page and we will get back to you the same day, usually within two hours during business hours.
