Straight answers on gunsmithing
Do you do gunsmithing?
Yes. Optics and red dots mounted, triggers swapped, sights installed, muzzle devices, handguards, uppers and lowers assembled, cleaning and general maintenance, including surface rust cleanup during a cleaning. We do not do complex machining or permanent structural work. Walk in, no appointment needed. If you buy an item from Lakeside Munitions, we install it for free. Prices are posted on the gunsmithing page.
How much to mount an optic?
An optic mount is $45, red dot or magnified. Bore sighting is $15. If you buy the optic from us, we install it for free.
How much does a gun cleaning cost?
$35, or $25 if you bought the gun at Lakeside. The bench fee is $45/hour. Surface rust cleanup is included during a cleaning, to the best of our ability. The prices are posted, so you know the number before you hand over the gun.
Do I need an appointment for gunsmithing?
No. Walk in, no appointment needed.
What is the difference between a gunsmith and a gun shop?
A gun shop sells firearms and accessories. A gunsmith maintains, repairs and installs parts on them. We do both in the same shop in Cumming, so you can buy a gun, transfer it, and have gunsmithing done on it in one place.
