Pick Lakeside Munitions as your FFL at checkout and have it shipped here. We process transfers the same day they arrive, any day we're open, and call you right away. Bring a valid ID, fill out the 4473 with us, and take it home. A valid Georgia Weapons Carry License stands in for the background check. A temporary renewal license does not.

NICS gives a Brady Transfer Date three business days out. If there's still no Proceed or Denied by then, federal law allows us to complete the transfer at our discretion. Business days are days state offices are open, and the day the check runs doesn't count. Run it on a Thursday and the three days are Friday, Monday and Tuesday, so the earliest transfer is Wednesday. A state holiday pushes it out further. We'll tell you where yours stands.

Filing as an individual, approvals are running 2 to 3 days right now, and they can take up to 21 days. Filing through a trust can take up to a month. Once you're approved, you fill out a standard 4473 and take it home. We will tell you where you stand before you buy, not after.

No. You can file as an individual or through a trust. Georgia is still an NFA trust state and the process has not changed. We will walk you through whether an individual filing or a trust makes more sense for your situation. We can help you create a trust for your future needs at the store.

Yes. Bring in one gun or a whole safe, with a photo ID and the original box, magazines and accessories if you have them. We appraise using a national average and make you a fair cash offer on what we can buy. The appraisal is free and there is no obligation to sell. We may not buy every gun in a collection. We also buy from estate collections and work with several local estate sale companies.

Yes. Your trade value goes onto your account and you can use it on anything in the store, suppressors included. Most sellers take cash or trade. We also consign in some cases, so ask if that is what you want.

Yes. At least 20% down and paid in full within 30 days. If you need something a little different, ask. We would rather work with you than lose the sale.

Usually. We order through our distributors, so if it is being made we can usually get it.

Yes. Optics and red dots mounted, triggers swapped, sights installed, muzzle devices, handguards, uppers and lowers assembled, cleaning and general maintenance, including surface rust cleanup during a cleaning. We do not do complex machining or permanent structural work. Walk in, no appointment needed. If you buy an item from Lakeside Munitions, we install it for free. No. No range, no rentals, no classes, no Cerakote. We are a retail shop, a transfer and NFA dealer, and a gunsmith, and we would rather do those well.
